J ARCHIVE

This website, j-archive.net, created by Joe Duke functions as an archive of textile designs and textile samples available for purchase.

I, Joe Duke, am a textile designer developing original print and textile artworks. I work both independently to create designs or collaborate closely with brands, aligning with their vision through my aesthetic. My designs serve as a starting point for a brand’s collection, defining its visual direction, narrative, mood and colour palette. This spans overseeing inspiration sourcing, research, colours and fabric selection through to designing print artworks, knit samples, embroidery, and fabric manipulation. My approach emphasises crafted techniques with proven industrial potential, balancing hands-on innovation and scalable production. With 15 years in the industry, my work fuses creative direction and operational expertise with an extensive international network of specialist craftspeople in textiles and the arts.
